Arnold P. Gass, M.D.
Arnold P. Gass MD, FACP, Health Sciences Professor of Medicine Emeritus at the University of California School of Medicine, received an A.B. from Brown University (1964) and an M.D. degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (1968.) He is ABIM Certified in General Internal Medicine (1975) and in Geriatrics (1994.) Dr. Gass developed and practiced in the Primary Care Group at the VASDHS (1975-2011) where he was also Associate Chief of Staff (1981-2011) the IntegratedEthics Consultation Consultant and co-Chair of the Hospital Ethics Advisory Team. He was the founding Medical Director (1988) of and continues to work at Stand Down. Since October 2013 Dr. Gass has worked in the Compensation and Pension Unit, examining active duty military and Veterans regarding their disability claims. He has been a member of PAVE since November 2012.
